         Due to the need for an efficient and systematic measurement tool for use in the clinical observation of parent-child interactions, the reliabiltiy and validity of athe Dyadic Parent-Child Interaction Coding System (DPICS) was tested. This article described how both the reliability and validityof the DPICS was found using a three way ANOVA that compared the differences exisiting between normal families and those with conduct problem members.
