This article discussed borderline personality disorder and its relationship to suicidal behavior.  The researchers examined the particular borderline characteristic of impulsivity.  By looking at the suicidal behavior of the 214 inpatient, borderline personality disorder patients in the study they were able to find some areas of significance.  They concluded that impulsivity was associated with a high number of previous suicide attempts.

This article dealt with a significant factor when working with borderline patients, suicide.  If a characteristic can predict suicidal behavior a therapist has a greater probability of assisting the patient.  This article was relatively straight forward.  I found it fairly comprehensible and informative.
