The authors of this study tested the idea that certain characteristics of borderline personality disorder, especially impulsiveness, are associated with problems in the orbitofrontal cortex. They found that orbitofrontal dysfunction may be related to impulsivity. However, other characteristics were not similar.
This article was fairly easy to follow. As with other articles I appreciate that they included areas that need further study. This is helpful for the field in general and helps me to try and narrow my topic.
