Head Coach
Ed Karpovich

Ed Karpovich has served as head coach of The University of Scranton golf program for the past 24 years.  In 1999 he was instrumental in starting the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational, along with long-time King's College head coach Tom Davis, which is an annual event that attracts some of the top Division III golfers in the nation. Glenmaura, one of the premier golf venues in the state, serves as the Royals' home course.

During his tenure Scranton has carded an overall record of 178-91-2, including an MAC championship in 1988. That team, which featured all-American and MAC individual champion Will Carey III, set an all-time school record with a 24-0 regular season mark.

Karpovich, one of the Scranton area's great golfers with many tournament titles to his credit, is a member of the University of Scranton Wall of Fame. A 1976 Scranton graduate, he led the Royals to three MAC team titles (1973-75-76), while capturing MAC individual championships in 1974 and 1976, plus two trips to the NCAA tournament. He currently serves as the treasurer of Lackawanna County.
