Head Coach - Becky Davis

Becky Davis finished up her second season as head coach in 2009.  In her first season at the helm, Scranton won five of its last seven games to qualify for the Middle Atlantic Conference tournament for the seventh straight year.  This past season, Scranton finished with an 8-8 overall record, including a 1-4 mark in its first year as a member of the Landmark Conference.

A native of Aston, Pennsylvania, Davis joined the Royal coaching staff in 2004 under then head coach Linda Drapeau and served in this capacity for three seasons.  In her first season on staff, Scranton won its second straight Middle Atlantic Conference title and advanced to the NCAA Division III championships for the second consecutive year to cap off a school-record 14-win campaign.

Upon graduation from Sun Valley High School, where she was a four-year letter-winner and three-year starter on the girls’ lacrosse team, Davis enrolled at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She played two seasons of lacrosse and was the Dukes’ third-leading scorer during the 1998 season.  She eventually transferred to West Chester University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and secondary education in May 2002.  For two seasons (2000, 2001), she served as assistant coach of the girls’ lacrosse program at Strath Haven High School and was the head girls’ lacrosse coach at Chichester High School for one year, in 2002.  She has also served as a volunteer coach for the Swarthmore Youth Lacrosse Program.

Becky and her husband, Jim, and son, Evan, reside in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.
