Giuseppe Bongiorno is currently studying the structure and function of verrucae on the lips of Phyllostomid bats
Allison Greco is studying the effects of hypoxic and hyperoxic stress on embryonic chick cardiac heart cells

Research Students

T.J. Zenzal is currently studying spectral plumage reflectance of breeding gray catbirds with Dr. Robert Smith. T.J. is also working at Dr. Robert Smith’s bird banding station.

Kimmie Patel and Kellie Casey are studying the effects of extracellular glucose levels on glial cell differentiation

Alesia Walsh is studying the effects of glucose on neuronal development and neurogenesis in the avian olfactory system
