General Information

The Byron Recreational Complex is a multi-million dollar recreational facility constructed in 1986. The complex contains three full sized gymnasiums that can be used for basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis and a variety of other activities.

The 1st floor of the building houses a six lane pool and locker rooms containing both saunas and steam rooms. Also located on this level, are four racquetball/handball courts and a dance aerobics room.

The Murray Royals Fitness Center is located on the second floor.  This newly renovated room contains a wide selection of individual fitness equipment including treadmills, cross-trainers, steppers, a Nordic Track skier, rowers, and several pieces of Cybex weight training equipment.

The John Long Center is located adjacent to the Byron Complex and includes a gymnasium, weight room, wrestling room, locker rooms and coaches offices. The Long Center gymnasium is used predominantly for varsity competition and practices but may be open for recreational activities at certain times of the year.
