The Treasurer’s office aids employees in obtaining a microcomputer for home use thru an interest free microcomputer loan program. Through this program, full-time employees are eligible to obtain a 36 month interest free loan of up to $2,000 for the purchase of a microcomputer.
Desktop and Instructional Resources has also negotiated formal agreements with both Dell and Gateway to provide discounts to our University Community
Currently managed by the Treasurer's Office (Lucia Granito)
- Maximum Loan Amount is the actual purchase cost of PC Purchase not to exceed $2,000
- Maximum Loan Period is 36 months
- Number of Loans available depends upon payback and current fund balance (Not to exceed $150,000)
Application Process
- Treasurer's Office maintains a list of those individuals that are interested in a loan.
- As funds are available, interested faculty & staff are sent an application form (July & February).
- Individuals must begin the loan process within 6 months of being sent an application. Failure to do so will forfeit the loan application that may then be sent to other individuals.
- Individuals may apply for a subsequent loan after the balance on a previous loan is paid off.
