As the Director of Desktop and Instructional Resources, I'm responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all computer support for Desktop operations as well as the services offered through Instructional Technologies.
I'm directly responsible for the Desktop & Instructional Resources, Computer Maintenance Center, and Office of Instructional Technology Departments. The central microcomputer budgeting process also falls within my area of responsibility.
Desktop support includes the overall coordination, acquisition, support and integration of desktop tools throughout the University. Software installation and support, network connectivity, Local Area Network implementation & support are just a few. DIR also provides hardware services including configuration, testing and repair.
Instructional Technologies include the support of classroom activities utilizing audio, visual and multimedia elements. The Academic Technology Center and Distance Education facilities fall within the Instructional Resources responsibilities.
