My primary responsibility as a Software Analyst is to provide assistance and support for PC and Macintosh computers to the end user (primarily faculty and staff). This assistance and support includes preparing new or recycled computers, installing and updating software, and troubleshooting various problems as they arise. Although I am not responsible for resolving all computer problems that may occur, I am capable of accurately diagnosing most problems and directing the end user to the appropriate support staff person. I am also able to assist individual users with the selection and implementation of appropriate software products intended to meet specific, unique needs.
The Desktop & Instructional Resources Division is a dynamic team that focuses primarily on the needs of the university's computer users. As a member of this division, I often work with other university personnel in an effort to resolve various technical challenges that cross all Information Resources Divisions.
