As an Instructional Technologist, I am responsible for a number of activities and procedures within the University. These activities fall under the following categories:
Classroom Technology
Responsibilities here include the design, installation and maintenance of audiovisual equipment in the classroom. Our goal is to provide faculty with the tools necessary to enhance the overall educational environment. To assist faculty with this equipment, I also provide one-on-one training sessions throughout the year.
Distance Education / Videoconferences
The University offers a number of locations with Videoconferencing Technology. My duties here consists of the testing and maintenance of the equipment. Furthermore, I am responsible for the scheduling, connection and facilitation of all video conference events on campus.

I am responsible for the development, maintenance and update of each of the following departmental websites:
Blackboard Support
As a Blackboard course administrator, I assist Leslie Harris in the operation and management of the University's web courseware tool. This tool allows faculty and staff to place materials on the web at the touch of a button. Blackboard has different modules such as Course Content, Online Tests/Quizzes, Assignments, Announcements, Discussion Groups, and Chat Rooms. Duties include the creation of the requested courses, registration and enrollment of students, and archiving of courses.
Training
It is my responsibility to train faculty and staff on how to use the LCD projectors, Link systems, and videoconferencing equipment. Other training or support is also provided upon request.
