As Assistant Technical Coordinator for the Help Desk, I oversee Help Desk and the Office of Instructional Technologies operations during the evening hours.

Help Desk operations includes answering phones, responding to Help Desk email, management and training of our student staff, troubleshooting system access problems, answering software questions. I also deal heavily with student Resnet connection issues, from basic phone help to work on individual student machines. Recently, I have seen a large increase in work on student machines at the Help Desk, largely from the proliferation of Spyware/Adware and its effects on system performance.

The Office of Instructional Technologies operations includes distribution and installation of video, audio, and computer equipment for individual presentations, inventory management, troubleshooting media issues in classrooms and special presentations, dispatching staff for equipment sets/returns, and phone support for Instructional Technology questions.
