In my position as Software Analyst/WAN for Desktop and Instructional Resources, I'm responsible for all Network related
software including Netscape Communicator, Powerterm, and other networking products. I provide support to Staff, Faculty,
Students, and Computer Labs via office visits, phone calls, e-mail, and walk-ins. Some of my activities include network
software installations, software evaluations, software testing, documentation, installation procedures, user procedures, and
troubleshooting software/hardware problems.
My involvement with the ResNet project includes evaluating, testing, and choosing the ResNet software for PC's and
Macintosh, user documentation/procedures, installation procedures, support staff training, and troubleshooting.
Other projects that I'm involved with include:
The creation/maintenance of an IP Database system for recording/ tracking hardware, software, and networking information for
all desktop computers in offices and lab facilities.
Equipment Budget Survey process for annually updating computer equipment for Staff and Faculty for all
Departments/organizations on campus.
University Netscape Office System (UNOS) implementation.
Banner GUI testing and planning.
