Linda Desmond, EdD, RN, CCRN

Teaching Experience Dr. Desmond has primarily taught medical-surgical content, legal and ethical issues, and leadership. Her current teaching responsibilities include both classroom and clinical instruction. She is teaching health promotion to the university students and criticial care nursing to the senior nursing students.

Clinicial Experience Dr. Desmond has worked as a staff nurse in a variety of settings. She continues to work as a staff nurse in critical care nursing.

Publications Dr. Desmond is the author of three CD-ROM programs: Cardiac Rythms: Interpretation and Management, Arterial Blood Gases: Interpretations and Management, and Pacemaker Essentials. She received the 2001 Sigma Theta Tau International, Region 6, Edcational Technology Award for the arterial blood gas program. The programs have received contact hours from American Association of Critical Care Nursing for continuing education credits.
