Electrical Engineering
Engineering is the profession in which a
knowledge of the mathematical and natural sciences gained by study,
experience, and practice is applied to utilize, economically,
the materials and forces of nature for the benefit of mankind.
The Electrical Engineering major of the Department of Physics/Electrical
Engineering prepares the student for the analysis and design of
electronic systems and devices whose principal functions are the
shaping and control of information. The annual reports from our
Office of Career Services have reported that the starting salaries
of Electrical Engineering majors were among the highest.
