Student Officers


The Department of Public Safety Employs University students as student officers through the University Work Study Program.  Student Officers work 15 hours per week.

Their Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting full-time Public Safety officers in patrolling buildings and areas of campus, performing escorts for the University community, dispatching duties, and writing and issuing parking tickets to help enforce the University's parking rules and regulations.

Students from all fields of study are welcome to apply for a position as a student officer.  Applications can be picked up at the Communications Center in the Public Safety offices in the Parking and Public Safety Pavilion on Mulberry Street.  They will also be available On-Line in the near future.
