ALPHA PHI SIGMA
(APS)

Alpha Phi Sigma is the National Criminal Justice Honor Society founded in 1942. Our local Epsilon Zeta chapter was installed in May, 1982.

Basic requirements are:

  • junior status
  • 18 credits in criminal justice
  • minimum overall GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • minimum overall GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale 3.2 GPA in Criminal Justice courses
  • must rank in the top 35% of their classes
  • must have completed a minimum of four courses within the Criminal Justice curriculum
  • the honor society is open to those with a declared Criminal Justice major or minor

A departmental induction ceremony/banquet is usually held each academic year to recognize those students who have been inducted into departmental honor societies (Alpha Kappa Delta, Alpha Phi Sigma and Sigma Phi Omega).

If you meet the eligibility requirements for APS, please pick up an application for membership at Atty. Cimini's office.
