Royal Drive - The Desktop Client

Flash Video

Click on the video icon for a demonstration

When using the desktop client to connect to Royal Drive the default setting opens an Explorer window displaying three folders - Users, Groups, and Support. I prefer a little personalization.

How to Duplicate an Existing Service

In this example, you will duplicate the existing service to open your User folder. If connected to the Royal Drive, open the client and click Disconnect.

  1. Reopen the client if needed; double click on the Xythos Drive icon located on the taskbar.
    OR
Click on the Start menu and then All Programs | Xythos | Drive | Xythos Drive.
  2. When the client opens, click the down arrow on the Service button and choose Duplicate.
  3. For this example, rename the exisiting Service Name "RoyalDrive" to "My RoyalDrive".
  4. In the box Server URL add /Users/your user name to open your user folder in the explorer window.
  5. Type your user name in the box provided and then click OK to save the changes.

Very Important
To log into a specific service, click on the drop down arrow, choose the Service Name, and then click Work Online. You may connect to multiple services. Also, be sure to disconnect all services before shutting down your computer.
