Hiding Zero Values in Excel

Click on the video icon for a demonstration in Excel 2007

Copying a formula down a column that references cells without data will result in blocks of cells containing 0.00 or 0.00%. While waiting for the data to input you may be called upon to print or present the current worksheet. For a more professional looking worksheet hide the zero values.

In Excel 2007

  1. Click on the Microsoft Office Button, then Excel Options, and then click on the category "Advanced."
  2. Under the label "Display options for this worksheet," remove the check mark from the box "Show a zero in cells hat have zero value."
  3. Click on OK.
