Women's Studies students may earn up to six Women's Studies credits
with an internship, WOMN 380-81. The position must grant the student practical
experience with women's issues or women clients through the completion
of at least 120 hours in a given semester. The student must have taken
either PHIL 218: Feminism: Theory and Practice or SOC 215: Feminism and
Social Change, or have gotten permission from the Women's Studies Executive
Committee. The position may be cross-listed for credit in their major or
minor. The student must seek advising from their academic advisor, the
Women's Studies Director, and the agency supervisor in order to determine
the guidelines and requirements of the position.
A directory has been compiled offering information regarding organizations
that have stated an interest in hosting a University of Scranton student
as an intern in their agency. The directory is available in the Women's
Studies Office. It is the responsibility of the student to contact
the agency and acquire any application materials that may be needed.
