Women's Studies students may petition the Women's Studies Executive Committee to have credit taken abroad or transferred from another college or university applied toward the required 18 credits. Students may also petition for courses taken elsewhere that have been accepted by their Dean for credit towards the fulfillment of the University of Scranton graduation requirements. Students should present the following materials to the Director of the Women's Studies who will circulate the request to the Executive Committee for review.
 
1. Proof that the course(s) petitioned has/have been accepted by the University of Scranton toward your degree.

2. Catalogue copy and/or syllabus describing the content of the course.

3. A statement written by the student that explains how the course in question fulfills the requirements of the University of Scranton Women's Studies as described in the course catalogue.

4. If your request is approved, you will need to complete a Substitution form for the Registrar's Office.
