Clavious Sponsored Seminar Series: New techniques in neuroscience.
For the 2003-2004 academic year we will have several speakers invited to campus for students and faculty to hear about developing techniques in the neuroscience field. At the end of the seminar, there will be time to meet the speaker and discuss their work over snacks.

This is a newly formed group from regional colleges and universities to bring together faculty and students to discuss issues of neuroscience, foster development of collaborations, and give students an outlet to present their research. In April, 2003 the first annual symposium was held with student poster sessions and a keynote seminar given by Cheryl Frye, Ph.D. (SUNY, Albany) who spoke on “Why study sex: To Understand Progesterone’s Role in Anxiety, Learning and Neuroprotection” We are planning to have a Fall Workshop on teaching pedagogy for neuroscience and a Spring Symposium on research every year.
