Additionally, Vince Brust Studios, owned by Vince Brust, (since 1979), has departments for health/fitness education, public education, instructor training and certification and fitness classes. Also we offer Ballroom dancing, and a unique program for Senior Citizens, including our "Gentle Joy" movement program, combining seated and standing activities which initiate physiological adaptations in strength, endurance and flexilbility.
Vince is on the faculty of the Physical Education Department of the University of Scranton, and the adjunct faculty for continuing education at Marywood College, Scranton, Pa.
Vince was the Pennsylvania State Representative for IDEA (International Dance & Exercise Association) , San Diego, CA. 1985-1989 (two term maximum).
He was the Northeastern Regional Instructor Trainer for ESA, 1984 - 1992.
Vince developed and provided programs to employees of Dun & Bradstreet, IBM Corporation, and AKZO-Nobel Corporation. The Studio is also a recommended provider of programs by Proctor & Gamble Co., Mehoopany, Pa.
Vince also conceived and provided programs at Mercy Hospital in Scranton, Pa from 1987 through 1993, and was a regular guest lecturer at Mercy's Wellness lecture series.
He has also been a continuous provider of Exercise and dance programs under the auspices of the Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging, Meals on Wheels, United
Neighborhood Services Centers, and many other independent Senior groups since 1980.
PRESENTATIONS
Vince trained professional fitness instructors in Australia, at the invitation of their government's New South Wales Fitness Advisory Council, April & May 1988.
Was an invited guest teacher at the White House Athletic Club, Washington, D.C.,1987
Was the main speaker at the State Convention for Idaho's Fitness Weekend at Idaho State University, 1987
Taught fitness instructors a workshop at IDEA's Educational Convention, Chicago 1986 and at the International Convention in Anaheim CA.
Was a featured presenter at IDEA's Ohio State Meeting for professional instructors,1988; host of IDEA's Pennsylvania State Meeting, Philadelphia, 1988
