(If you are coming from the University)

  1. Go down Mulberry and out the Scranton Expressway
  2. At the major split in the expressway (about 1/4 mile before the Viewmont Mall and Rt. 81), bear left towards Clarks Summit. (This happens about 4.7 miles from Monroe and Mulberry.)
  3. At the 5th stop light (the last two of which are tightly clumped and the next to last may simply be blinking amber), bear right up onto South Abington Road.  Soon the road torques left up the hill – don’t take either of the immediate rights. (This turn is about 2 miles from the previous split.)

  1. You’ll follow South Abington up to the crest, where there’s a light just past a CVS Pharmacy.  South Abington Road becomes North Abington and the speed limit changes from 35 to 25. The 25 limit is pretty real – obey and keep going straight!  (This transition happens about 1.3 miles after the turn onto South Abington.)

  2. Continue through the light on the flat until you start down a gentle hill and the speed limit changes back to 35.

  3. As you pass the first 35 mph sign, you’ll be able to see a yellow non-verbal sign indicating that there’s a road coming up to the right – that’s the road you want.

  4. Just past the yellow non-verbal road sign – take a right onto Miller Road on right.  (This right turn happens about .9 miles after the previous stop light.)

  5. Follow Miller Road about .6 miles until you see two sets of yellow reflectors (kind of subtle in daylight) on the right.  The first reflectors are kind of far apart and they’re for private property.  The second tighter set mark a dirt road on the right – take that road. It’s Stevenson Road – paved to the left and dirt to the right. (This right turn happens about .7 miles after the right turn onto Miller Road.)

  6. You’ll immediately go by a dirt driveway and immediately after that there’s a nicely paved road to the left – take that road.  Google Map says that this is Ledgewood – it isn’t, but since it isn’t marked with a name, you don’t have to worry about it.

  7. Now you cruise on this paved road up until you hit a T in the road – go right at the T onto Ledgewood.  You’re very close.  (This right turn happens about .5 miles after the left turn onto the paved road.)

  8. Not too far after taking the right, you’ll see a mailbox on the left associated with a beautiful well maintained lawn – this is NOT our house and do NOT park on this lawn!!!  We’re in the next lot, which is zero maintenance.

  9. As you clear the minor crest of this hill and are leaving the nice lawn zone, you’ll see another mailbox on the left that’s very much like the one you just passed – this IS our mailbox and our driveway is blasted through the rock wall on the left.  Warning, the driveway is a bit twisty for the novice.  Park on the street across from the house and walk down the driveway (between the rocks) or through the path from the mailbox to the house.  (This last stretch is about .1 miles.)

Google gives much less verbose directions and a map if you follow this link

(If you are on I-81 North)

  1.   Take Waverly exit #197.

  2. Turn toward Sunoco station (left from 81 North, right from 81 South).

  3. Go 2.1 miles.  Turn left onto Miller Road.

  4. Go 6/10th of a mile.  Turn left onto Stevenson Road (unpaved).

  5. You’ll immediately go by a dirt driveway and immediately after that there’s a nicely paved road to the left – take that road.  Google Map says that this is Ledgewood – it isn’t, but since it isn’t marked with a name, you don’t have to worry about it.

  6. Now you cruise on this paved road up until you hit a T in the road – go right at the T onto Ledgewood.  You’re very close.  (This right turn happens about .5 miles after the left turn onto the paved road.)

  7. Not too far after taking the right, you’ll see a mailbox on the left associated with a beautiful well maintained lawn – this is NOT our house and do NOT park on this lawn!!!  We’re in the next lot, which is zero maintenance.

You're there--110 Ledgewood Drive (586-2022, in case you get confused--570-586-2022, if you’re really confused!)

Park responsibly--don't annoy the neighbors--early in the afternoon, don't block mailboxes. (Not relevant for Sunday events, I reuse this page and I'm too lazy to edit.)

Saturday October 29th starting around 2:00, folks will be coming and going all afternoon.

Weather is NOT an issue.  We have pool-darts-Nintendo-Playstation-EyeToy--Computers--2 floors of climate-controlled gaming space.

Food and beverages (Age Specific--Don't even think of putting me in legal jeopardy!!) will be provided, if you would like to bring a novelty snack/fluid item--feel free, we'll add it to the pot. You might consider bringing some music.. Otherwise, you might have to listen to my chanting monks and show tunes all day. Games are an option too.

There are no millstones near new house.  If you plan on going trekking through the available woods – wear appropriate shoes.
