Ok, we've discussed how to make a hanging indent in Word, but how do you get a hanging indent to show up on a web page? The simple answer is that in classic html editing (the language of the web) it isn't easy. In fact, it's basically impossible. Word, however, does allow you to save files as web documents and Word can do some web formatting magic for you.
You could type your annotated citations completely in Word, which is a great idea because it has a running spell check that can save you from some errors. I'd then save the file as a Word document. Having saved it this way, I'd then "Save As" a web document. Just publish as you normally would and it should show up on the web largely as it was in Word.
Good luck!
