The Computer Stroop Task should be completed on one of the black computers in the 2nd Floor of AMH.  Note:  White Computers do not work with the CD so you may not use those computers for this experiment.  Pick up a copy of the CD PsyCog Beta from your lab's folder.  Each lab has 2 copies of the CD on reserve, so you're going to have to share!

After inserting the CD, double click on the shortcut to start the PsyCog Beta program.  Once the title page appears, you must "Click to Continue" to begin the test.  Scroll down to Section C-Language, and click on Chapt. C.4 Written Language . Under the sub-heading "Experiments" you will click on the link for Ex.C.4.1a .

Read and follow ALL instructions on the screen.  When asked to save your data, select "Save Now."  Enter your FULL name in the "Your name" row, but leave "Other ID" and "Section" blank.  Save your results on the Desktop.  NOTE: You will not be submitting this file in Drop Box.  It is merely being saved for your own benefit (i.e. in case you lose your hard copy, etc.)

Carefully follow the instructions for all four parts of Computer Stroop Task.  When you have completed all parts, click on the Date Menu drop down box and choose "Print Results."  These results should be stapled to the main data sheet.  For the Computer Stroop Task you will only need to record your response times for each of the four parts.
