CYCLING  In 1999,  on a nice  Summer  day a friend of mine, Wojtek Berger,  let me ride his new  Pacific full suspension bike around the block. At that time my 42 lb. Huffy was collecting dust for the last  six years due to my herniated L5 disk. From the moment I sat on on that full suspension bike I knew that this is the right toy for me.  Two weeks later I became a happy owner of the Giant Warp DS-2.  In a few months later the Giant started to fall apart and I upgraded to a Klein Mantra.  By the end of Summer 2000 I put slick tires on the Mantra and joined a Lackawanna Bicycle Club ride.  Taking a mountain bike on a club road ride is almost an offence to the other riders, but not in this Club.  I was welcomed and one of the senior members lent me a nicely equipped Bianchi road bike. Two months later I had my own Trek 2300. Both, the Trek and the Mantra have thousands miles on them and still serve me very well.
