LAB CASE PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
-
Prepare a SHORT, typewritten handout, in OUTLINE form, that
includes the following:
-
Names of students in your presentation group, date
-
Case number and brief title
-
Tests and examinations that you would perform
-
Summary of important findings from tests and examinations
-
Physical therapy diagnosis
-
Treatment goals with estimate of time for attainment of each goal
-
Treatment plan
-
Progress note for first treatment visit (after the initial evaluation visit)
in SOAP format
-
Make enough copies for distribution to the students and instructors in
the lab (PT secretaries will help you with this).
-
Give a 10 minute presentation about your case. Highlight and explain the
important aspects of the case. Demonstrate two test, examination, or treatment
techniques that you would use for this case.

Allow 5 minutes for questions from the class.
