LAB CASE PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
  1. Prepare a SHORT, typewritten handout, in OUTLINE form, that includes the following:

    • Names of students in your presentation group, date
    • Case number and brief title
    • Tests and examinations that you would perform
    • Summary of important findings from tests and examinations
    • Physical therapy diagnosis
    • Treatment goals with estimate of time for attainment of each goal
    • Treatment plan
    • Progress note for first treatment visit (after the initial evaluation visit) in SOAP format
  3. Make enough copies for distribution to the students and instructors in the lab (PT secretaries will help you with this).

  4.  

     

  5. Give a 10 minute presentation about your case. Highlight and explain the important aspects of the case. Demonstrate two test, examination, or treatment techniques that you would use for this case.

  6.  

     

  7. Allow 5 minutes for questions from the class.
