RESISTED ISOMETRIC CONTRACTION

Resisted Isometric Contraction

Purpose
To assess the contractile structures.
Comments
  1. Examine bilaterally.
  2. Don't allow motion (neutral position).
  3. Look for weakness and/or pain.
  4. Ask, "How does that feel?"
