TMJ ARTHROKINEMATICS
When the TMJ opens, the condyle rolls posteriorly on the disk,
then the condyle glides forward (with the disk) on the articular fossa.
This is the way convex joint surfaces normally move, i.e. they roll and
glide in opposite directions.
