STAT 253: Statistics for Economics

Coverage of statistical tools to analyze economic data. Topics include measures of central tendency, dispersion, probability distributions, index numbers, time series analysis, regression and correlation, and analysis of variance. Data analysis will be done using appropriate software. (Prerequisite: MATH 107 or 114)
