purpose of this assignment is to facilitate your preparation for the case
management experience. |
| In order to complete the assignment,
you will need to identify a case type that you will be likely to encounter
during your case management clinical experience (e.g., head injury, coronary
artery bypass surgery or pregnancy-induced hypertension). It is suggested
that you meet with your classmates in your clinical group so that you do
not overlap in your selections. Subsequently, you will need to call your
clinical instructor for approval of the topic. This is to ensure that it
will be realistic for you to complete the assignment in your particular
clinical setting. |
| Review the literature and select
five articles related to the case type that you have selected for
your clinical experience. The articles should describe standards of care
and outcomes related for the case type, including appropriate interventions
by members of the interdisciplinary health care team. |
