After his education in the Dickson City (PA) public schools and a tour of duty
with the U.S. Army Air Force, Dr. Zandarski began his affiliation with the
University of Scranton as a student in 1947. Upon graduation in 1951 he began
his employment with the University of Scranton in the School of Management,
formerly known as the Business Department.
While employed, he began work on his graduate studies, commuting to New York City to obtain his MBA degree in 1956. With the aid of a sabbatical, he began doctoral work at the University of Pittsburgh and was granted the Ph.D. degree in 1964. In his 47 ears as an employee of the University of Scranton he has served as Chairman of the Business Department, as MBA Director and presently holds the rank of Professor in the Department of Accounting. He has served on numerous committees at the University of Scranton including the university Senate where he served as chairman. Serving on the Board of Directors of Mercy Hospital, Scranton, from 1979 to 1994 and on various other community boards, including Keystone Emergency Unit and the Catholic Choral Society he continues to be an active member of the community. As a member of the Country Club of Scranton, he participates in golfing activities (although not very good at the game) and is also a (pretty good) tenor in the Catholic Choral Society. He is a member of several professional accounting organizations and honorary societies such as Alpha Sigma Nu and Delta Mu Delta. He and his wife (Nan) live in Dunmore, Pa. They have one daughter who is an actress and, like most people in that profession, is unemployed most of the time. If you have any leads, please let Dr. Zandarski know about them. Courses I Teach |
