The membership standards for this society are very high. Freshmen must make be in the top 20% of their class with a 3.5 GPA in their first year of study. There are currently over 230 chapters across the nation that recognize the students that do achieve this excellent standard. To date, over 650,000 lifetime members have been inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta.
