BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL:
 
Revision: Change "Phil 214" to "Phil 214 or equivalent course in Philosophy or Theology/Religious Studies."

This proposed major combines many of the departmental courses used in the Computer Information Systems major with a cognate area developed from the proposed Media and Information Technology major prepare students for careers as software developers with a specialty in multimedia information communication. They will have the background needed for lifelong learning in a field that is constantly changing.

The requirements include

Major: Cmps 134, 144 240, 250, 330, 352, 354, 356, 376, 490 and major electives from a prescribed list.

Cognate: Math 142, 114, 204, Comm 317, 318, 329, Phil 214, Phys 204, and cognate electives from a prescribed list.
