Pre-requisites:
We are seeking enthusiastic students who are interested in a health
care career and who can commit to a 2-year program of part time
work. Scheduling will be flexible to accommodate students.
You must have good communication skills, computer skill and penmanship.
Job description:
You will work continuously with an ER doctor, accompanying him or her
into the patient rooms during the evaluation, recording physical exam
and history findings on template charts that will serve as the
permanent medical record. You will assist the doctor in finding
and recording test results, medications, ongoing care and treatment
plans, communicating with department staff, and generally helping speed
the flow of patients in the ER.
Wage:
Between $10-$16/hour
Training:
You will receive approximately 50 hours of paid training in the
classroom and at the bedside, as well as being responsible for learning
pertinent training material on your own time.
