Getting Connected To ResNet

Follow these steps to get connected:

Step 1:

If you already own a computer, make sure your computer meets the ResNet hardware requirements 

If you want to purchase a computer, get your University discount by going to our Computer Sales page.

Step 2:

Before coming to campus you should:

• Update your computer with the latest Microsoft updates and critical patches
• Install and run anti-spyware software and remove spyware and adware

• Remove Norton Anti-Virus software (and any other anti-virus package installed on your computer) just prior to arriving on campus/li>
• Check your University E-mail often for ResNet updates

Step 3:

Arrive on campus move-in weekend with your computer and pick up a ResNet Installation Guide at the ResNet table.  You can also purchase your computer supplies or get help setting up your computer in your room.

If you need assistance un-boxing and setting up your desktop computer in your room, you can purchase the Parent's Helper. Just complete and sign the Order Form and make your payment.

Step 4:

Setup your computer in your room and follow the instructions in the Residential Network Services Guide.
