Symptoms


Testing is the only way to tell someone had HIV until they get the syndrome, AIDS.  AIDS symptoms develop 10 years after infection, on average.  Early indicators are extremely swollen lymph glands, slight fever, fatigue, and muscle aches.  Then there are usually no symptoms for many years.
