Treatments

Over the last years, AIDS treatment research has advanced dramatically.  New treatment have become available to aid the inflicted AIDS suffers and to ease their pain and suffering.  Some drugs inhibit the virus while other just shoot at prolonging the onset of the disease.  Regardless, the drugs are being used to help improve the life of suffers.

Even though some of these drugs have been called miracle wonders, some do not work for everyone. The use of an AIDS drug is expensive and demanding.  Some 30 to 40 pills are required to be taken in a day at strict time periods.  Also side effects can be hard to bare on.

HIV causes AIDS, which is when the inflicted person's immune system is attack.  When the immune system breaks down, you lose protection and can develop many serious diseases.  Therefore, any AIDS victims can die of simple diseases.  The two most common causes of death AIDS victims experience are the flu and common cold.  Drugs and antibiotics can be administered to help the victims over come each individual problem but this is an extremely tedious process.

Another treatment which some patients tend use is chemotherapy.  This is when drugs and radiation target specific places in your body.  This procedure is very extensive though and causes extreme side effects.  For instance, the patient's hair falls out, weight loss occurs, and extreme fatigue and sickness occurs.  This treatment must be started before the onsets of AIDS become too severe.  The patient has hope if started early; however, no hope can be ensured either way.

Keep in mind there couple examples are not the only options a victim has to choose from.  There are many other treatments patients should explore.  Not every treatment works for everyone.  Just keep looking and do not give up hope.
