Andrade,
L, Eaton, W. W., & Chilcoat, H. D. (1996). Lifetime co-morbidity of
panic attacks and major depression in a
population-based study: Age of
onset. Psychological Medicine, 5, 991-996.
This article focused on the link between panic attacks and depression.
It showed that the onset of one of the disorders increases the chance
of the individual developing the other disorder, especially females who
have twice the risk as men.
I found this article
helpful because I'm still currently developing my topic. I would like
my main focus to be on the prevalance of panic attacks in relation to
another mental disorder. (I'm debating between
depersonalization/derealization and depression). This article shows how
interrelated panic attacks and depression actually are.
