This article concerned the prevention of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) with the treatment of anxiety and panic attacks. The study found that a much smaller proportion of the participants developed MDD after receiving treatment in the community. A Cox proportional hazard model was developed to account for the difference in age of onset and other different demographic variances.

This article was particularly useful because it discussed the interaction between the two disorders. The conclusion of the results from the article also mentioned that detecting and treating anxiety can help prevent Major Depressive Disorder.
