Methods

Participants

·      Participants of both genders from a Northeastern Pennsylvania University will be recruited for this study.

·      Age ranges from 18 to 25 years old.

·      There will be a stress condition and a control reading condition.

Tests

·      Trier Social Stress Task (TSST)

·      Digit Span Test- a subtest of the Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale

·      Physiological Assessments

·      The method of repeated reproduction will be used to test Long term memory- Bartlett’s War of the Ghosts will be used.

 Procedure

·      All participants will be given the Digit Span test.

·      Stress group participants will begin the TSST

·      All participants will be given the Digit Span test again and the War of the Ghosts long-term memory assessment.

·      All participants’ appropriate physiological measurements will be made.

·      All participants will be asked to complete the Digit Span test again and to recall the War of the Ghosts.

·      In a week, all participants will be asked to come back to recall the War of the Ghosts.

·      Analysis of Variance and T tests will be used for analysis.
