·     Teacher-Student similarity to correlate with academic achievement

 

·     Teacher rated teacher-student similarity correlated to academic achievement with second grade showing the strongest correlation and sixth the weakest

 

·      Report card grade correlation to teacher-student similarity stronger then the correlations between standardized test score and teacher-student similarity


 

Expected Replicated Results

 

·     Attractiveness to correlate with academic achievement (Alvidrez & Weinstein, 1999: Dusek & Joseph, 1983)

 

·     Attractiveness correlation with academic achievement should decrease with time (Dusek & Joseph, 1983).

 

·     Correlation between attractiveness and teacher-student similarity as rated by teacher (Chang, Levine, & Benson, 2002: Monin, 2003).

 

·     Terra Nova scores should correlate with achievement on report card.

 

·     Little (Dusek & Joseph, 1983: Kurdek & Sinclair, 2001) to no (Hoge & Butcher, 1984: Alvidrez & Weinstein, 1999) gender difference in achievement

 

·     Attractiveness should strongly correlate with preserved socioeconomic statues (Berry & Landry, 1997: Feingold, 1992: Feingold, 1988).
